Warwick Parker English Salt Glazed Studio Pottery Bottle Vase
About the Item
A very fine quality salt glazed studio pottery bottle flagon shaped vase by Dorset based potter Warwick Parker (b.1940) dating from the 20th century. The ceramic vase stands on a wide flat rounded base with a beehive shaped body with a short narrow funnel top with a thickened rim. The body of the vase is decorated in a brown salt glazed finish with darker brown glazes trailing down from the neck. The vase has simple horizontal lines around the lower and upper body with an incised vertical line patterning applied around the body. The vase has an impressed monogram potters mark to the lower edge.
