About the Item

Rolf Grenov (1924-2019) was a Danish artist and industrial designer, renowned for both his realistic and abstract paintings. He spent two formative years in Marseille, France, where he painted landscapes and deepened his understanding of art. Upon returning to Denmark, he began a career in industrial design, working at Bernadotte & Bjørn before founding his own design company. Rolf Grenov also worked for Georg Jensen, where he contributed significantly to the company's reputation as a leading manufacturer of high-quality silver and design.
