A fine antique Georgian English sterling silver ‘madeira’ decanter label / bottle ticket made in Newcastle; an addition to our wine and drinks silverware collection. This fine antique George III sterling silver decanter label/bottle ticket has a subtly convex, plain rectangular rounded cornered form. The body is embellished with a simple tooled decorated border and the engraved name ‘MADEIRA' to the center. The label is suspended by two ring loops to the upper border connected by a silver belcher style chain. This Fine example of Georgian silverware has been crafted by the Newcastle maker John Robertson II but assayed in London; this was an occasional practice with smaller items of Newcastle silver, where no town mark was been struck. A fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver ‘rum’ decanter label / bottle ticket made in Newcastle; an addition to our wine and drinks silverware collection. This fine antique George III sterling silver decanter label / bottle ticket has a subtly convex, plain rectangular cut cornered form. The body is embellished with the engraved inscription ‘RUM' to the center. The antique decanter label is suspended from two ring loops to the upper border connected by a silver belcher style chain. This fine example of Georgian silverware has been crafted by the Newcastle maker Thomas Watson but assayed in London; this was an occasional practice with smaller items of Newcastle silver, where no town mark was struck. An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare pair of antique George IV English sterling silver coasters made in Newcastle; part of our silver wine related collection. These exceptional antique George IV Newcastle sterling silver coasters have a circular rounded form. Each coaster has a wirework body which incorporates the original applied oval vacant cartouche encompassed with a thread decorated border. The upper rim of each coaster is ornamented with an undulating wirework border. The coasters are fitted with fine and impressive turned mahogany bases, embellished with the original silver buttons to the centre. These sterling silver coasters are fitted with green baize to the underside. This style of coaster is rare to the market due to the limited output from the provincial Newcastle George Samuel Lewis & John Wright. Condition These impressive antique coasters...
