About
Antique Victorian sterling silver chased mug
Made by Charles Edwards
Retailed by Mappin Brothers
Made in London 1897
Fully hallmarked.
The Victorian era was a time of fancy and frivolity, with an eye for detail. You’ll find this isn’t too far from how this product is made either. The creaminess of the mug coupled with intricate silver chasing make for a wonderful contrast; one that we aim to preserve in every mug before it reaches your hands.
Made by Charles Edwards himself (the founder of the company) during his stint working as a silversmith at Mappin Brothers in London 1897—and we know he would be proud if he saw where they have found new life today!
