Mid-Century French Leather Book Liquor Box with 6 Shot Cordials and 2 Carafes
About the Item
For an interesting bar accessory, look no further than this colorful Faux-Book "Cave à Liqueur". Crafted in France, circa 1950, the antique liquor cave is shaped like four antique books stacked together. Each book has a different name on the spine; the top one, which is smaller is titled "Questions sur l'Encyclopedie", the next one "Nouvelles Ordonnances de Louis XIV", then two titled "Antiquite Expliquee". When lifting the top, it reveals a complete liqueur set with six shot glasses and two matching brandy carafes with stoppers. The stacked liquor box is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated leather finish with beautiful gilt tooling; it would make a charming accent piece in a wet bar or a gentleman's study!
