About

This is a harlequin set of six Mason's Ironstone, large dinner plates, all dating between the early to mid-19th century, between 1825-1865. All the plates have a very similar shape profile and size with some slight variation in height and diameter, with the nominal diameter being just over 10.25 inches. Top row right: Honeysuckle pat'n, printed Mason's rectangular crown and banner and a Retailers mark of Newington & Co., High Holborn, London Bottom row left: Pagoda and rock pat'n, printed Mason's red rectangular crown and banner. Bottom row mid: Fence, vase and doves pat'n, printed Mason's black round crown and banner with sprigs to base. A beautiful gilded pattern. Bottom row right: Pagoda, Flower Vase and Tree pat'n, Printed Mason's Stone China mark with Crown- A Mason's mark when the company was owned by Ashworth Brothers.
