Antique Georgian Prattware Pottery Figure, Flora The Goddess Of Spring, C. 1800

ANTIQUE ENGLISH CERAMIC FIGURINE A wonderfully charming figure depicting the Roman goddess of flowers and spring, Flora. In a typically naive style with an extremely characterful facial expression. Typical Prattware colour palette of natural oxide colours under a pearlware glaze. A mixture of handpainted and sponged decoration. Dating from the late 18th/early 19th century period during the reign of George III. Circa 1790-1810 in date. In excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips or significant damage to report and only minimal handling wear commensurate with age which may include tiny flea bites to the glaze etc. but these may be irregularities from its original production. Approximate measurements 22cm high x 10cm wide x 10cm deep.
