Rare Goldscheider Vienna Figurine Group of the 1930s. Two figures walking side by side, mother and child with shouldered skis. Both ware winter clothing that was common in Tyrol in the 1930s: wide trousers with cuffs and jackets in traditional costume style, the boy with a Tyrolean hat. On a cream-colored oval base with the inscription 'DAKON' on the top behind the figures. Designed by STEPHAN DAKON (1904-1992), one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-1950s. Dakon designed this model circa 1938.
