Semi-nude Art Deco lady dancer seizing corners of her skirt. Model 7053 Size: height 15.2 inches (38.0 cm) width 9.055 inches (23.0 cm) depth 4.33 inches (11.0 cm) Made by: Goldscheider Vienna / manufactured circa 1936/37 Designed by Joseph Lorenzl (1892-1950) / the most important designer having been active for Goldscheider manufactory in period of 1920-1940. Model 7053 was created circa 1934-1935. It is a finest Goldscheider dancing lady figurine with almost bare upper body, clad in long green shaded skirt which is decorated with stunning flower's patterns / the dancer's upper body is partially covered with bikini top. The lady stretches her arms while she is looking sidewards, the corners of her skirt are seized by both hands. The female dancer's features are very handsome, she has beautiful red lips as well as a pretty nose; the lady's hairstyle is typical for the Twenties/Thirties. - The figurine is based on socle of rhomb type. Material: ceramics / painted / glossy and mat finish Technique of manufacture: ceramics modelling Marks: MODEL NUMBER 7053 / 14 / 4 - 7 The following mark is visible at reverse side of base: GOLDSCHEIDER's SIGN G , further there are the characters "Goldscheider / Wien / MADE IN AUSTRIA" as well as name of modeller: ' LORENZL ' visible. This Goldscheider figurine is in excellent condition / finest quality of painting and excellent modelling!
