Stunning Lady Figurine Of Arab Style / Odalisque
An odalisque was a female slave in an Ottoman noble household. She was an assistant or apprentice to the concubines and wives. Most odalisques were part of the Imperial Harem ( = the household of the Turkish Sultan).
This figurine is of highest quality due to the excellent painting of the lady's garments as well as of the figurine's Fine appearance: Look, please, at the cloth seized by lady's both hands (which is having a crescent's shape) as well as at woman's costume excellently painted with stylized patterns: The odalisque is wearing a pair of Arab trousers / the upper part of her body is covered with a bikini-like garment / her head is covered by short veil.
The woman is looking down towards earth. -The Figurine Is Based On Greyish-cream White Ovoid & Tiered Socle.
