About
Very rare goldscheider Art Deco ceramic figurine.
A young lady with blond curly hair, a flowered summer dress and a large bow around her waist, is sitting on a pile of large books that also serves as a pedestal, reading a book, which she is holding on her knees in front of her. Artist's signature 'Dakon' on the side of a book spine of the book base.
Designed by Stephan DAKON (1904 - 1992), was one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties.
This Model 7561 was created circa 1936.
