Dessert set for 12 people "Le Parisien" by Creil & montereau. 12 different exquisite scenes of children playing with fruits. It is stamped on the back with Creil & Montereau marks and Le Parisien identification. Le Parisien is the story of a little boy discovering country life, designed by the French artist and painter Antoine-Albert Richard (1845-1921) named "Froment-Richard". He designed several sets for the French Creil & Montereau manufacture, but "Le Parisien" is the most famous with a brown rim enhanced with groups of three petals and ex. These are a beautiful pair of French Faience dinner plates with pierced rims, made by the Luneville K&G factory and dating to the late 19th century, circa 1895. These large circular earthenware pottery plates are well potted with pierced reticulated rims. Both plates are hand painted over a printed outline, with a similar bold floral pattern in different shades of Pink, blue, green and yellow enamels. Both plates have the the black printed Luneville, K&G factory mark on the base, dating them to the late 19th century, circa 1895. Overall a very decorative matching pair of French Faience plates.

This is a good Mason’s ironstone large dinner plate produced at the time when Mason's was owned and controlled by George L Ashworth and Brothers after the bankruptcy of C J Mason in 1848. This large plate is decorated in a the striking chinoiserie pattern called "Flying Bird" pattern, as illustrated on Page 121 of "A Guide to Mason's Patent Ironstone Patterns" published by The Mason's Collectors' Club. The pattern would have been transfer printed then boldly hand enameled with good detail. The plate also has a mid-brown / ochre hand painted outer rim simulating the Chinese plates of the time and earlier periods. The base carries a blue transfer printed mark Ashworth Brothers...
