19th C. English Fielding Majolica Oyster Plate

About the Item

A 19th Century English glazed majolica oyster plate with six turquoise blue oyster wells surrounding a center well for sauce on a yellow ground with seaweed relief. A brown nautical rope border encircles the center well and the outer rim. The verso has blue gray glaze with six raised scallop shell shaped feet. Made by Fielding & Co. Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, England. Impressed mark on the bottom. In good condition with no chips or cracks, light surface wear. Circa 1875-1880. Dimensions: 9.25" Diameter x 1" H #SMDC70
