About the Item
Delft, Porceleyne Fles Applique after a Painting by E. Verveer, made 1901
A Porceleyne Fles delft hand painted applique after a painting by Elchanon Leonardus Verveer. . The applique is executed in Delft blue color and depicts two ladies with child on the coast, the border is moulded in relief. There are two painter’s initials for P.L. Dijkman who worked at the Porceleyne fles from 1882-1927, and from another painter who I could not determinate.
Established in 1653, De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles is the only remaining delft blue pottery factory from the 17th century.
The measurements are 36 cm (14.1”) x 40.8 cm (16”) and this applique is in excellent condition.
I carefully package all items in a double-box and use first class packaging material.
