Opaline crystal plate decorated with dark blue forget-me-nots and gilded stripes, produced by Jean-Baptiste Desvignes. Desvignes was a French glass painter who gained notoriety for his techniques for painting on opaline crystal and glass using vegetable-based colors that were limited to dark blue and red. Light wear to the gilding,
