Fabulous Triangular Emile Galle in blue and brown cameo vase with fircones c1925

About the Item

Fabulous Emile Galle deeply cut cameo vase in an unusual almost triangular form, with a wide flared opened mouth. Coloured in deep browns and mid browns over pale blue. It is decorated with spectacular fir cones and spiny tree branches. Possibly one of the most dramatic images for a Galle vase. The last photos shows it looking fabulous in low sun light. A must have for any Galle collection. The vase is signed in cameo with the Provost MkIV mark -dating it to around 1925, (see 2nd and 3rd images and date chart at end of photos). Without doubt Emile Galle was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father's of the Art Nouveau movement.
