FINE ART GLASS VINTAGE / JUG WITH GOLDEN ENAMEL PAINTINGS MANUFACTORY: most probably Meyr’s Nephew, Adolf near Winterberg (BOHEMIA) ORDERER: LOBMEYR VIENNA SPECIFICATIONS: Art Nouveau Lobmeyr Jug (of stunning elegance !), based on round foot: colourless glass, handmade (blown and formed) / partially cut (facet cut) and painted made after year 1905 Painted by opaque enamel, contoured by polished gold: Floral decorations existing, shaped as garlands of leaves and of flower's blossoms as well as of stylized leaves. Finally, borders painted by opaque enamel (grey-black shaded) decorate jug's surface, too. Style of this painting is in close connection to decors number 1444 - 1446 (created after the year 1905), made by MEYR'S NEPHEW / ADOLF NEAR WNTERBERG, BOHEMIA. Bibliography: Adlerova / Mergl / Panenkova, Das Boehmische Glas 1700-1950 (= Bohemian Glass 1700-1950) (vol. IV), Jugendstil in Boehmen (= Art Nouveau in Bohemia), page 151, where three stalky glass pieces ornamented with decors having numbers 1444 - 1446 are presented. ORDERED BY: LOBMEYR VIENNA REVERSE SIDE OF BASE IS SIGNED WITH GOLDEN LOBMEYR SIGNATURE, WHICH WAS REGISTERED ON 3rd OCTOBER 1877.
