Wine Green Glass Enamel Paintings Coat of Arms by Lobmeyr Vienna circa 1910-1915

About the Item

Lobmeyr wine glass (of stunning manufacturing quality!), based on round tiered foot: Green glass, handmade (blown and formed) with enamel paintings Made circa 1910-1915 Painted by multicolored opaque enamel: White borders looking like pearls decorate edged area of foot as well as of glass item's mouth / stylized flowers' blossoms arranged in rows cover the bowl's surface. Additionally, there is a most remarkable coat of arms visible - with the motto 'LABORE' (= 'by effort') - and with three stylized lilies laid on blue ground (like the noble houses Anjou-Valois or Bourbon-Parma have in their emblems), further with a pigeon/dove and ears of corn together with a five-pointed crown. Finally, this glass has an opened stalk decorated with berry-like buds at outer wall. Made by: Lobmeyr Vienna Reverse side of foot is signed with Lobmeyr signature, which was registered on 3rd October 1877.
