About the Item

This rare majolica rabbit pitcher was probably produced for the Paris World's Fair in 1900. Animal-shaped pitchers are a great classic of majolica. The greatest ceramists like Orchies or Saint-Clément compete in audacity and creativity for these humorous or animal pitchers. This rabbit pitcher perfectly illustrates the great period of majolica. In very good condition, with some cracks on the medallion (last picture).
