About the Item
Early 19th century handled large plate in the famous "Caledonia" pattern by Adams of Staffordshire. This one is particularly wonderful in that it is in brown transfer, which is the most sought after in this pattern. The pattern is vistas of the Scottish Highlands, with a Scottish hunter stalking deer. It is a magnificent scene and one of my personal favorites.
