This antique silver plated covered served was made for the highly renowned Birks department store chain of Canada in approximately 1920 and done in a Victorian style. The server is done with an eight sided scalloped shape with a domed top and removable cast and silver plated handle. The top of the server is ornately decorated with a shell and stylized flower and foliage motif which is accented with the applied decoration on the edges of the base. The server sits on four cast claw feet and is clearly hallmarked on the bottom for "Birks Regency Plate".
