18th Century Delft Vase With Cover

A French XVIII Century painted architectural trumeau mirror, set within a pedimented panel.

Pair of traditional Japanese Imari Edo period plates. No repairs or chips, just rubbing to the gilding and glaze.

An XVIII Century carved fruitwood Venetian mirror in silver leaf, with the original foxed mercury glass.

A large English overmantel mirror of unusual design, with a deep cabouchon frieze, distressed painted in an off white colour.

This is a very old and beautiful porcelain plate.  

Description In the center an Orange tree in a tub and a 4 letters next to it 'V V O R'. They stand for VIVA or Vi Vat ORANJE and they first appears on orangist ceramics around 1670-1680. The original dishes from Delft have a dating around 1750-1780 and were produced in support of Prince William IV (1711-1751). At the birth of Princess Juliana on April 30, 1909, this plate was copied by the Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland. For further information on this subject see D.F.
