A fine late 18th or early 19th Century Chinese export armorial porcelain saucer. With a white ground and cobalt blue and gilt geometric designs. The center bears an armorial crest with two doves atop a birdbath that bear a resemblance to the 'Doves of Pliny' imagery. Simply a wonderful Export porcelain! Date: Late 18th or Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is a tiny flake to the rim, some light rubbing to the gilding, and some wear to the decoration here and there. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: Unmarked Measurements: Diameter: ca. 5 1/4 in. Height: ca. 1 1/2 in. A very fine set of six porcelain bowls. By Copeland. Each bowl with an ornate rim with alternating floral garlands and underglaze cobalt blue cartouches that are decorated with gilt insects.
