Berlin Porcelain Mid-Century Tortoise Pin Dish
About the Item
A delightful German mid-century porcelain pin dish modelled as a tortoise by renowned makers Berlin and believed to date between 1945 and 1962. The dish is modelled as small tortoise resting on four molded legs and feet with a small tail and head with molded features and supporting an inverted shell with molded features forming the pin dish. Made in natural glazed white undecorated porcelain this is a really delightful quality piece with an underglaze blue sceptre makers mark to the base.
Provenance: acquired in the British Art Market.
