Vintage Porcelain Large Tulip Vase Pyramids, Chinese, Circa 2000 A pair of Tulipiere vases with each tulipiere made in four interconnecting pieces and painted in underglaze blue and white. The pattern is known as the Blue Onion Pattern. Each vase has twenty four openings for tulips or flowers opening to a hollow cavity for water. Dimensions: 31 1/4 inches tall x 8 3/4 inches square base. A "tulipiere" is a type of ornate vase, also known as a tulip vase or pyramid vase, designed to hold multiple stems of flowers, particularly tulips, in individual spouts. They are often made of Delftware and feature a shared water reservoir at the base. They are traditionally used for displaying cut flowers.
