Chinese porcelain platter, Famille rose, c. 1760. Qianlong Period.

About the Item

Chinese porcelain serving plate, c. 1760, Qianlong Period. The centre painted in famille rose enamels, with a large elaborate basket of flowers and fruit, surrounded by sprigs of flowers, within an underglaze blue cell diaper motif. The border painted in underglaze blue, with a continuous band of butterflies, floral swag, scrolls, and cell diaper, within a shaped rim. Width – 37 cm, 14 5/8”. Height – 30.5 cm, 12”. Condition – Typical minor wear to the enamels. No damage. No restoration.
