About the Item

This dinner service by the porcelain manufacturers Dursley is hand painted by James Skerrett, a renowned British artist who has worked with some of the country’s leading producers of porcelain. Skerrett has painted the items in this service with beautiful representations of fruit, all contained within blue circular bands and gilt edges. The service contains two lidded dishes, a large tray, and an extensive service of plates and bowls, in addition to various items such as salt and pepper pots and napkin rings. The hand painted images are signed ‘J. Skerrett’ while each piece is marked underside with ‘Bone China / DFP / Dursley Fine Porcelain / Made in England / hand painted with James Skerrett’. Measures: Serving dish, height 12 cm, width 31 cm, depth 20 cm Small plate, height 2 cm, diameter 16 cm.
