A paper label for the studio of 'Franz Xavier Thallmaier, Mucnich'. This fine KPM plaque is superbly painted with a portrait bust of a young woman holding a music scroll and a laurel branch, possibly representing St. Cecilia. The plaque is set in a giltwood frame. Franz Xaver Thallmaier (1890-1910) established in Munich in 1890 one of the most prominent and successful porcelain painting studios in Germany.
