Large Coalport Shell Form Porcelain Sweet Dish, England, circa 1890 A sculptural late Victorian porcelain sweet dish by Coalport, finely modelled in the form of a stylised shell. The piece is richly detailed with deeply ruffled edges and coiled, naturalistic ridges, all finished in a soft white glaze. Resting on a textured foot, the dish displays Coalport’s mastery of form and precision typical of the late 19th century. Bearing the green printed factory mark "Coalport England A.D. 1750" to the underside, used from circa 1881. Dimensions: Height: 13 cm Width: 14 cm Length: 23 cm Condition: In very good antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Light age-related craquelure present. A refined and decorative English porcelain object, suitable for display or functional use.
