Late 19th century Chinese export porcelain famille verte vase. Late Qing dynasty. Baluster form, matte finish, fully surrounded decoration of hawthorn (prunus) with gnarled trunks & white blossoms - great detail! The hawthorn is a symbol of Spring and believed to ward of evil spirits & negative energy. Slight roughness spots on rim & base rim. 5 1/8" dia. base. 12 1/8" h., 6.5" dia. body.
