Pair Antique 18c Meissen Neuer Ausschnitt Porcelain Plates with Deutsche Blumen

About the Item

A fine pair of antique Neuer Ausschnitt (New Cut) pattern porcelain plates. By the Royal Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. Decorated with Deutsche Blumen floral sprays to the center and sides including roses, tulips, morning glories, and other various flowers. The Neuer Ausschnitt pattern has a scalloped border, and the plates' rims have a burnt brown painted edge. All in all, simply a fine pair of antique Meissen porcelain plates! Date: Mid-18th Century, ca. 1760 Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, professionally restored condition. Condition Details: There are areas of professionally restored chips to the rims (with some aging, yellow overpaint), some scratches to the surfaces and enamel painted decoration, wear to the glaze, and a few firing flaws here & there. There is a firing flaw to the foot of one, and chips and some fritting to the foot of the other. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Meissen Pattern: Neuer Ausschnitt (New Cut) Marks: Marked to the base with a blue underglaze Meissen crossed swords factory mark, and an impressed '36' to each. Measurements: Height: ca. 1 1/4 in. Diameter: ca. 9 1/2 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you. Purchases may be returned for any reason for a period of 7 days.
