About the Item

Royal Crown Derby porcelain vase and cover, painted by Desire Leroy, dated 1897. The Sevres style twin handled vase, hand painted with swags of flowers, suspended from a vase containing flowers, divided by panels of blue flowers. The shoulder of the vase, with panels of gilt floral scroll, divided by turquoise bands. Set upon a scroll moulded pedestal foot, enamelled in turquoise, with gilt scrollwork. The oval cover, with further gilt scrolling foliage, and surmounted by a flower from finial. Signed Leroy in puce enamel. Iron red printed factory marks, and date code for 1897. Length - 17 cm, 6 5/8”. Height - 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”. Depth - 10.5 cm, 4 1/8”. Condition - Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
