About the Item

Set of twelve Paris porcelain lavishly decorated dishes with flowers from the early to mid-19th century, circa 1840. Feuillet became the chief supplier of porcelain to the Prince de Condé and the aristocracy. He was known for his quality and vivacity of the colors and the gilt he used on the porcelain. His drawings are finely executed with lots of detail and aesthetic. His successor was Jean Boyer with whom he collaborated from 1834 on until his death (1840) under the name “Boyer St. de Feuillet”. The plates are signed in underglaze green on the reverse with the inscription “Boyer St. de Feuillet”.
