About the Item

Set of four Mid-Century Modern Porcelain vases by KPM Royal Porcelain Factory in Germany, circa 1960s. This set includes four white matte bisque unglazed textured porcelain vases with orange and maroon glazed accents and silver plated accents. All interiors are glazed. All marked KPM on base. Dimensions: Large pitcher vase with handle 13" height / 3" diameter Tall Vase with silver and orange accents 11.5" height / 2.5" diameter Medium vase with maroon and orange accents 7" height / 3" diameter Small vase with silver accents 6" height / 2.5" diameter About Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur: Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (translation: Royal Porcelain Factory) is a hugely successful porcelain manufacturer that has been in business for more than 250 years. The company was founded in 1763 by Frederick II of Prussia. He granted the company the use of the royal scepter as its emblem. He also commissioned many KPM porcelain objects to be made in the Rococo style for his palace. From the company’s founding to the abdication of Emperor William II in 1918, KPM was owned by seven kings and emperors. KPM works are valued for their ties to Prussian royalty and the German state, as well as their strong emphasis on quality and handmade design. Condition: Beautiful vintage condition, wear commensurate with age and use. No major issues. Ready to be used and enjoyed immediately.
