English Pearlware Pottery Large Blue Slip Jug, Dated 1787, Possibly Leeds

English Pearlware Pottery Large Blue Slip Jug, Dated 1787, Possibly Leeds. The large English pottery light blue slip jug is painted with gold detailing with a date of 1787 below the spout. On one side a large stag head crest within a laurel leaf surround. and on the other side a tied ribbon also within a laurel leaf surround. Above and below is an engine-turned checkerboard narrow band. The rim is edged in gold as is the base of the spout which has a molded gilt leaf up the spout and another below. Condition: Good. Dimensions: 8 3/4 inches high x 9 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches deep. (Ref: NY10420-lmr)
