Large, beautiful, Aesthetic Movement, sterling silver, parcel gilt serving spoon (great for vegetables, cake/pie, desserts, potatoes, etc.), J.E. Caldwell, Philadelphia, Ca. 1880's. Bowl of spoon is gilded and has a lovely bright -cut design so that the spoon looks as if it is inset with jewels. Floral etching on handle. Measures 9 1/2 inches long x 2 3/4 inches wide (at widest point) x 2 inches high (when lying flat). Dark areas in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
