An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver Regency style mustard pot; an addition to our Victorian silver condiments collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a compressed, rounded hexagonal form. The subtly incurved panelled body of the mustard pot is plain and unembellished. The upper rim of this fine example of Victorian silverware are ornamented with an impressive cast and applied Regency style leaf decorated border. This mustard pot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover ornamented with corresponding panelled decoration. The cover is surmounted with an impressive sterling silver lobed thumbpiece. This exceptional example of antique silverware has a reed decorated C shaped handle, accented with scroll leaf ornamentation to the terminals and thumbpiece. The mustard pot retains the original removable blue glass liner and gilded interior. This exceptional antique Victorian silver mustard pot is supported with impressive cast Regency style paw feet, accented with leaf decorated sockets in junction with the plain panelled body. This mustard pot is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire and supplied with an associate sterling silver spoon, crafted by the London silversmith William Bateman I in 1821. Condition This antique Regency style mustard pot is a superior gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition. The cast and applied decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the mustard pot and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of silver cruets. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a cylindrical-shaped form with a plain circular spreading foot. The body of the mustard pot is encircled with impressive chased shaped-bead designs, each accented with opposing scrolling borders and matte backgrounds; this is a highly desirable design. The decoration to the body includes impressive bands of bead decoration to the upper and lower portions, in addition to applied, moulded borders. This fine Victorian silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with an impressive cast silver pierced decorated lobed thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is encircled with further chased bead design, composing a central vacant shaped cartouche to the upper plateau. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an impressive cast opposing scrolling handle accented with a leaf design to the handpiece.
