An exceptional, fine and impressive set of twelve antique Georgian Newcastle sterling silver Old English pattern table/serving spoons; an addition to our silver flatware collection These exceptional antique Georgian Newcastle sterling silver spoons have been crafted in the Old English pattern. The anterior surface of each serving/table spoon handle terminal incorporates the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a double-headed eagle displayed. The reverse of each 18th century spoon is embellished with single drop heel, in addition to a pip to the handle terminal. These exceptional set of antique silver spoons were crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Robertson I & David Darling. Such examples with a fine set of deeply and clearly struck hallmarks are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. Condition These antique sterling silver serving spoons are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each handle are all very clear.
