An exceptional, fine and impressive unusual antique sterling silver and enamel presentation folding chair in the Arts and Crafts style; an addition to our diverse ornamental silverware collection. This exceptional and unusual, antique George V English sterling silver presentation piece has been realistically modelled in the form of a folding chair. The rotating cushioned seat and stationary backrest are embellished with exceptional hot enamel decoration. The exceptional and functional chair frame bears Arts and Crafts style brackets to the lower portion. The posterior portion of the antique silver backrest bears the contemporary engraved presentation inscription 'Presented to Mr & Mrs Jas. Sykes, as a grateful token for gift of 200 chairs from Bethesda Methodist Church, March 1933'. This impressive folding chair ornament surmounts an ebonised wood presentation plinth. A rare enamel and sterling silver chair presentation piece is a distinctive gift for film, theatre and arts professionals. Ideal for career milestones, retirements or corporate awards, it also appeals to cinema enthusiasts and collectors as an elegant display piece. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver jewelry box; an addition to the ornamental silverware collection This exceptional antique silver jewelry box, in sterling standard, has been modelled in the form of a dressing table. The surface of this Edwardian jewelry box is plain and embellished with two applied sterling silver balls to the anterior convex arched surface, replicating the details of the draw handles. The original hallmarked hinged cover is plain and parallels the shape of the body, opening to reveal the original segmented velvet interior. The weighted base of this exceptional antique box retains the original leatherette covering to the underside. The box is supported by four subtly tapering pillar style legs Note: The majority of such boxes have a wood lining to the interior; it is a sign of quality when boxes have unlined interiors in addition to a solid silver cover.
