Chinese Export Silver Box
About the Item
This large Chinese silver box is chased with chrysanthemum blooms on a finely grained background. Marked Hung Chong for the retailer, and with a maker's mark of "華"（Hua). Hung Chong was a retailer in Canton around 1850, and then from around 1870, in Shanghai until 1949. This box is from Shanghai circa 1910.
