Crisford & Norris, Birmingham Edwardian Silver Roller Skate Pin Cushion 1909
About the Item
Charming Edwardian silver roller skate pin cushion by Chisford & Norris, Birmingham 1909. The roller skate is well constructed and stands fitted to a roller skate base with life like sideway movements on swivel axle wheels which also turn. The boot is nicely detailed with a raised ankle support holding a purple replacement velvet pin cushion. The body has impressed rubbed makers marks along with Birmingham silver assay marks and impressed Rd 535766 concurring the silver date of 1909.
In good condition with wear associated with age and use and believed with replacement pin cushion.
