    Sterling Solid Silver - Pair of Fiddle Pattern Dessert Spoons Made in 1844, ( 179 years old), by William Eaton. A full set of hallmarks applied by the London Assay Office:- Leopard`s head - London Assay Office mark. Lion - Sterling silver guarantee Upper case I - date letter for London 1844 WE - Maker`s mark for William Eaton. ( Specialist flatware maker). An excellent pair of heavy gauge dessert spoons, made in the traditional fiddle shape. Hardly used but well loved - excellent patination. Notice that there is no sign of wear on the bowl lead edge - showing that they hardly been used, and still have a lifetime of use in them, certainly enough for several generations.     A magnificent, fine and impressive, rare antique Scottish sterling silver gilt punch/ soup ladle; an addition to our silver cutlery collection This magnificent William IV sterling silver punch ladle has been hand forged in a rare and unusual design. The handle of the punch/soup ladle has been realistically modelled in the form of a horse's head, emanating from an impressive scrolling enveloping leaf design. The tapering stem is embellished with the contemporary engraved presentation inscription 'Presented to A. C. Renton by his father on his birth day, 3rd May 1833'. The reverse of this impressive example of antique silverware features an exceptional honeysuckle style heel to the shell shaped bowl.
