About the Item

An Elegant Art Deco tableware collection , designed by Gio Ponti for Arthur Krupp and crafted in the 1930s by Krupp Berndorf in Austria. The collection includes a tea or coffee pot (20 cl) a milk jug / cream pitcher (15cl) small jug (5cl) for example for hot water or lemon juice a ladle (length 8 inches / 20cm) sugar tongs All made from nickel-silvered Alpacca metal, characterized by its strict and geometric lines that elegantly evoke the Art Deco style prominent during Ponti's era. All pieces are marked. We would like to emphasize that in our other listing, we also offer a matching set of flatware / cutlery for six persons / 31 pieces. Gio Ponti was a prominent Italian architect and designer, renowned for his versatile contributions to modern architecture and design. His major works include the Pirelli Tower in Milan, the elegant furniture designs for Cassina, and his light, geometric ceramic designs for Richard Ginori. Ponti's style is characterized by an innovative use of shapes, colors, and materials, evident in both his architectural projects and product designs.
