Antique Minton Victorian Porcelain Part Dessert Service

About the Item

Antique Minton Victorian Porcelain Part Dessert Service – 6 Plates, 1 Comport, 1 Large Compote – Minton Colourway This elegant part dessert service consists of 6 plates, 1 comport, and 1 large compote, all produced by Minton in the Victorian era, featuring the factory's signature pale blue ground with intricate gold accents. The 6 plates are beautifully adorned with hand-painted landscape scenes, each framed by a gilded border. The craftsmanship and style suggest that these pieces were made by Minton, a renowned English porcelain maker, despite the absence of explicit marks. The comport, a pedestal dish, follows the same blue and gold aesthetic but lacks the painted landscape scenes found on the plates. The large compote mirrors the blue and gold colourway but is slightly more minimalist, with no hand-painted imagery, offering a refined addition to the set. Set Includes: 6 Plates: Each featuring a hand-painted rural landscape scene with a fine gold border. 1 Comport: A pedestal dish in matching blue and gold, without painted images. 1 Large Compote: A larger pedestal dish in the same blue and gold colour scheme, also without painted scenes. The condition is good for its age, with only minor wear typical of pieces from the late 19th century. This part dessert service is a refined example of Victorian Minton porcelain, ideal for display or as a decorative piece in any collection.
