Original English Coffee/Tea Service
About the Item
This is a nice Mid-Century English set designed by the company Picquot ware, this company is still in business today. Exclusive, modern design made from Magnailium. An alloy especially developed for Picquot tableware which: Is polished (not plated), is cast in one piece to ensure no leaks occur around the spout, is especially designed spouts for smooth non-drip pouring, is machined and has milled lid hinges for perfect fit and can be rejuvenated after many years use. The designs have heat resisted handles made of sycamore wood. Extremely useful and functional set, the tray is peach mirror with wooden handles has some nice etching in the center and bevelled edges, most likely not original to the set but looks great together.

What a beautiful service this is, so many nice details. The French were great at designing and manufacturing these wonderful classic sets (a time gone by.) This particular one was designed and manufactured by H.L. Linton of Paris, each piece is stamped on the bottom and was made in England. The design is great, very cubist and somewhat asymmetrical (notice the elongated and angular shapes.) Not your typical French coffee service. Each piece has some very nice details with rosewood handles that have been delicately shaped in such a way to allow the cubist influence of the metal work desgin to stand out in very original way.
