Pair First Period Worcester Porcelain Cups and Saucers England Circa 1772
About the Item
We are pleased to offer this pair of 18th century Worcester fluted cups and saucers in the 'Dalhousie' pattern with beautiful hand-painted landscape panels. A turquoise husk border encircles the panels (see image #2) and a wide outer border with groups of fruit and butterflies. The gros bleu outer border is painted with interlocking gilt ovals and a gilded edge ( for a close-up, see image #2), Made 1772-1775.
The saucer measures 5.35" diameter, the cup 2.5" diameter x 2.5" tall, and is similarly decorated (see images).
The cup and saucer are marked with the Worcester open crescent mark in underglaze blue.
Condition: Excellent
