Folk Art Hand Made Simplex 1909 Model Car in Copper and Brass 1940s

About the Item

Folk Art Hand Made Simplex 1909 Model Car in Copper and Brass, United States, 1940s. This is really something very special. A one-off model car, made by a skilled craftsman around the 1940s. Very detailed and refined, with lots of fantastic details - like all the handles and pipes on and underneath the car. Lifelike, very true to the original and exclusive Simplex from 1909. Made out of copper and brass, the material gained a wonderful patina over time, with hints of verdigris at various places. Large size and therefore a true conversation piece on your desk, sideboard or table. It is signed with - presumably - the name of the maker. At DEZAAK DELUXE we try to find items that are out of the ordinary. With experience over 40 years, we are known for our singular eye and combining the new and the old. We have a few thousand items in stock in our beautiful showroom in a reclaimed factory building out of the 1930s.

  • Antique & Important Dutch Hindeloopen Hand Painted Folk Art Tea Bucket w. Liner
    Located in Lisse, NL
Handcrafted, rare and important 'tea bucket', early 1800s. For a museum quality, ultra rare and pure Dutch Folk Art antique from the early to mid 1800s there is always room in your home or collection. This marvelous and all handcrafted tea-bucket is also hand-painted and the antique decor all around could not be more Dutch (in general) and it could not be more pure Hindeloopen in particular. On the one side are the farmhouse with the adjacent hay barn, the trees and the windmill and on the other side are the typical Dutch, wooden flat bottom boats that many who have been to Holland must have seen and will never forget. When this so called tea-bucket was hand-crafted some 200 years ago, Hindeloopen was a village on the coast...
