About the Item
A Group of French papier mâché black and gilt Japanned decorative items, 19th century. Comprising of a large oval lobed bowl, crumb tray and pipe rack black, all hand decorated in gilt and black chinoiserie manner, depicting chinoiserie figures amoungst pagodas in a landscape.
Generally in good condition for its age, with some rubbed areas,
The bowl is 13 1/2"-inches long x 10 1/2"-inches wide x 2"-inches high.
The crumb tray is 10"-inches long x 10 1/4"-inches wide x 2 1/4"-inches high.
The pipe rack is 5 1/4"-inches long x 6"-inches wide.
