This representational double portrait of a couple is signed with initials "MN" in the lower left corner, by an unidentified artist. It is a flat, washed out image, perhaps painted by an outsider artist. It is framed in oakwood, with a pine stretcher and wooden tabs to hold this oil painting on canvas in the frame. It is likely the original frame, hand made by the artist. The frame itself is remarkable.
