A wonderful soapstone large, heavy carving of a tusked walrus by the indigenous inuit people who inhabit parts of the Arctic regions of Greenland, Canada, and Alaska.
Signed on the underside.
From a collection of Native and North American tribal art and artifacts.
We are not sure of the exact age so are simply listing as the Mid-20th Century.
Would be a great addition to any Native American or tribal art collection or eye-catching stand-alone work.
